Stevie Wonder has released the dates for the fall leg of his ‘Songs In The Key Of Life’ tour. And to garner attention to it, he’s performing no less than three shows today (August 17th) along the Eastern seaboard – and all are free.

First, a short set in Washington, D.C., then on to Philadelphia, and wrapping up this evening in New York City’s Central Park.

As far as same-day shows by a major music artist, I’m not aware of three consecutive concerts previously being given – just Phil Collins’ supersonic cross-continental flight from London’s Wembley Stadium to perform a second time at Philadelphia’s JFK Stadium, as part of the Live-Aid extravaganza on July 13, 1985.
