#JustHeardAtStarbucks:ChristmasWreath The holiday season is now here at my office on the patio of Starbucks on Little Road in New Port Richey, FL.

And since escaping the holiday hits in most public venues is next to impossible for all but hermits, I thought I’d share some of the “oh wow” things that aren’t usually heard ad nauseam on the radio and elsewhere throughout most of December.

Today, it was the great James Brown – the “Godfather of Soul” – heard on the sound system (good gawd y’all!) with a much-too-funky original called Soulful Christmas.

The song was part of a 1968 holiday album by “Soul Brother Number One” for the King Records label called A Soulful Christmas.

So grab yourself some eggnog (Starbucks has a wonderful eggnog latte) and get on your holiday funk!
