50 years ago this month, an ingenious plot paid off for an aggressive young female journalism intern at the Minneapolis Tribune – now known as the Star-Tribune.
Though her surreptitious scheme, Susan Stocking successfully got into The Beatles’ fifth-floor suite at Minneapolis Motor Inn, had face-to-face contact with them, and through assumption, was totally welcome!
Today’s edition of the Star-Trib includes the young woman’s first-hand account of her experience, as originally published in the paper on August 23rd, 1965.
