In all, over 800 items are going on the block – many owned by drummer Ringo Starr – including the three-piece 1963 Ludwig drum kit he used in over 200 Beatles performances, along with other rare Fab Four memorabilia. (See the Preview Video Below)
Items belonging to he and wife Barbara Bach – as well as personal articles of Ms. Bach’s – will also be up for bids.
In an exclusive interview with The Associated Press, Ringo said –
“We have so much stuff, and a lot of it we haven’t seen in 20 to 30 years. It started with me looking at storage units we have all around the world it seems (and) we found we had so much stuff. We thought, ‘What are we going to do with all this stuff?’”
Thus, Starr approached Julien’s.

Starr, 75, added –
“I’m also putting in ‘The White Album No. 1‘, which I had in a bank vault for the last 35 years”, and several guitars, including a Gretsch that was a gift from George Harrison, and the Lennon Rickenbacker” (the “Beatle Backer” guitar that John Lennon originally owned and later gave to Ringo).
