According to a least two sources, Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards stated in both a live Los Angeles radio interview on Tuesday (9/15) and in an interview published today (9/16) on TheQuietus.com, that the ‘The World’s Greatest Rock & Roll Band’ will “definitely” be recording a new album next year.
Richards, who’s third solo album ‘Crosseyed Heart’ will be released Friday, confirmed what has previously been published in several reports – including by this blog – regarding the prospects for what will be the Stones first record in over ten years (2005’s A Bigger Bang).
Speaking on iHeartRadio Tuesday evening, he said –
“I was in London last week, and the boys and I got together, and yeah, there are now definitely plans to record.”
