About ‘I SAW MOMMY KISSING SANTA CLAUS’ : ISMKSC was written by a British composer named Tommie Connor and was first titled ‘I Saw Mummy Kissing Santa Claus.’

The original recording was for Columbia Records by an almost-14 year-old singer named Jimmy Boyd in 1952.

Boyd’s name became known internationally when the record sold over two and a half million records in its first week’s release – eventually earning him two gold records.

Trivia Stuff: When first released, Boyd’s record was banned in Boston by the Roman Catholic Church on the grounds it mixed sex with Christmas.
